GENE STOLTZFUS February 1, 1940 - March 10, 2010 Riding his beloved motor assisted bicycle on a spring weather afternoon less than a kilometre from home, Gene Stoltzfus completed his journey on earth. He had yearned and worked for peace and justice around the world everyday and he did that with a joyful heart and a sense of humour and deep appreciation for his many co-workers. He will be deeply missed by his wife Dorothy Friesen, Fort Frances, ON (formerly of Winnipeg) and three brothers and one sister all in the United States and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Gene's life will be held at the Knox United Church, 3 Roy Street in Emo, ON on Thursday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m., followed by ice-cream, Gene's favourite food, and informal sharing. Gene was the founding director Christian Peace Maker Teams for 18 years. Donations in his name may be made through cpt.org or sent to CPT 25 Cecil St., Unit 307, Toronto, Ontario M5T 1N1.
